Are you giving your children a party this Halloween and in search of amusing and simple Halloween party ideas? One of the simplest ways to make your Halloween party a fantastic sensation is to have great games and activities for them to do. A combination of spine tingling games and craft activities will keep the children out of mischief and having a good time.
Halloween Craft Activities
Kids love Halloween not just for the candy, but for the chance to dress up in crazy costumes! So why not give them an opportunity to create the masks, hats and costumes they need for the party? To make a great mask, you will need some paper plates, a hole punch and string, and decorations like glitter, stickers, markers and other scraps. See if you can find some hts, ponchos, shirts and boots in a thrift-store, and allow them to garnish and design their own costumes. Fabric paint and glue make it easy for them to let their imaginations loose!
Another fun craft is, of course, carving out a pumpkin… but make it less messy and less dangerous by letting the young ones decorate tiny pumpkins with markers, glitter, stickers and more.
As a final point, let them make their own Halloween swag bags. All you need are plain brown paper bags, and lots of things to decorate the bags with. After they have finished adorning their swag bags, take them and fill them with candies, stickers, Halloween pencils and erasers, small toys, orange play dough and such. Then tie them with ribbon or taffeta, and they can be given to the little ones as a going home present.
Halloween Games
Halloween party ideas for the most part center around games. One of the simplest games is to present a Halloween parade, and let the kids show off their costume creations!
Trick Or Treat is another thing that kids adore. Cut up pieces of paper, making two times as many strips as there are party guests. On half of the strips write ‘trick’, and include a trick… something like ‘stand on one foot’ or ‘cluck like a chicken’. On the other half write ‘treat’. Mix all of the strips in a Halloween container, and have the kids sit in a circle. Each child selects a piece of paper from the hat. If they pull ‘trick’, they have to perform the trick for the group. if they pull ‘treat’, then they get to look for a treat, like a small candy or Halloween themed item. Hide the treats around the area.
Mummy Wrap Race is a fun Halloween party idea. Split the kids into small groups, and say to every group that eomeone has to be the mummy. The point of the game is to be the first group to wrap their mummy with an entire toilet roll.
There are so many of fun and trouble-free Halloween party ideas… you’re only limited by your imagination!
